Elevator Tip Ribs & Reinforcement Plates

The top right skin is the last one I need to sand the primer on. See previous post on why.

Quite a few holes to line up on these elevator tip ribs, but they all line up.
Pretty amazing accuracy.

There we go - inside tip ribs mostly riveted.

...and the outside showing the shop rivet heads.

The two AN426AD3 rivets in the corners of the tip ribs...

Nice - both left and right ready for the Counterbalance Skins.

Spar reinforcement plates riveted on

Love how clean they look. The squeezer does such a good job.
It's a shame the skins will go on soon covering all this up.

I didn't have the required reach with the pneumatic squeezer so had to use the manual version. All the rags were simply to make sure I didn't scratch the spar or the rib.

The main reason for the yellow rag was because I needed to deflect the tip ribs enough for the squeezer to sit flush on the rivet...
