Previously I outlined the fact I'd over-primed all the elevator skins and elevator trim tab skins also. After grinding most of the primer off, I need to clean the bare aluminium with acetone to make sure it's absolutely clean. Not as critical as sealing the fuel tanks, but should still be done properly.
Below is the elevator trim tab trailing edge after I'd cleaned it and rolled on the extra special, extra thin, extra strong 3M double sided tape...
